This is why Smogger is the best ref in the game. And Nady's name is mud

Smoger could've counted up to 20 and Jermaine still would've sat there unconsious and almost lifelessly looking.

There was no response from Taylor at all nor an attempt to beat the count (he didn't even dispute it in later interviews).
Smoger saw that and stopped the fight to get help to Taylor as soon as possible. You got to admit,...Taylor hanging there was a scary sight. I was happy to see that he was able to walk on his own and talk afterwards (although it took a very long time to recover. Not "RJJ against Johnson" long time,...but still a long time).

Did Corrales vs Castillo disgust you as well? How about Foreman vs Lylse, Douglas vs Tyson, or any other classic scrap that enetertained fans around the world?

    Unable to continue? I'd say you're nuts, but I grasp you're BIASED:yep
He had such a bad time, he won the next round and then KO'd Taylor, THATS UNABLE TO CONTINUE

He knocked Taylor TFO didn't he? I'd say he was able to continue. :yep

  9. It was a brutal knockout of Taylor. To see him slumped there on his knees, arms limp at his side, concious but completely immobilized was a very powerful & psychological statement from Pavlik; far more so than simply knocking him out cold.

you may be right but it wouldve been a quick stoppage.

im watching it now and there is only 1 moment after the knockdown where a ref might have stopped it but i think even a guy like nady would probably have let it go on.

fast forward directly to 5:00 min for the action. You can see before the knockdown there is no reason to stop it cause he is not held up by the ropes. His eyes are definately clear when Smoger is checking him. Then with about 1:08 left to the round thats just about the only time a ref could have stopped it but it would have been an extremely quick stoppage.

    Unable to continue? :think

You MORON . . . Pavlik immediately came back very strong after that round and knocked Taylor's ASS out later . . . what "unable to continue" are you talking about?

    :-( :huh

BTW . . . don't include me in your bullshits . . . I picked Taylor to win that fight.

I never heard anything from Jeramain Taylor or his camp saying he was robbed in this fight. Manny was actually very complementary toward Pav. after he left Taylor a a heap of puddy in the corner

RZA, you're a yappy poodle, tryin to stir crap. I never heard anything from Jeramain Taylor or his camp saying he was robbed in this fight. No one believes you. No one believes you believe yourself

good post. it did look a little "bleak" at the points you mentioned and you could possibly see some (bad or corrupt) refs stopping it as they're have been quicker stoppages....but it would have been a quick stoppage. If that action occured in like the 5 or 6th rounds while pavlik was losing, than maybe it could be stopped.
