Ortiz is probably in for an old school schooling. Mayweather's one of the most gifted fighters in the history of the game. Mayweather will hurt him. Maybe not with stunning ko punches, but those clean, straight, fast, precise punches that will eventually take their toll on Ortiz and either cause him to go into survival mode or out on his shield. It should be a great fight for as long as it's competitive. The real question is can Ortiz catch Mayweather.

Ortiz is not exactly some Hagler-chinned guy, nor is he a defensive whiz.

Mayweather probably hurts Ortiz in this fight.

Shots that you don't see coming, that are extremely accurate, usually do have a tendency to hurt.

Mayweather can hurt you if he really tries. But then again he never fully goes for the knockout.

More a case of will Ortiz crack up, he'll have the crowd behind him & may have some early kind of success but i see Floyd advancing to ring centre & holding it & he'll not miss with a shot much like the way he dismantled Hatton. Floyd's see it all before, he's got a good chin & Ortiz is going too get dissected & defenitly dropped & i doubt he'll want to get back up for more. Skill levels are too vast for Ortiz too overcome & Mayweather will up the anti after the midway point & it'll be a stoppage around 8/10 for me. But yer never know, Ortiz has to go out & blitz Floyd from the 1st ring a ding & hope he gets very very lucky. Actually in all reality this is a ****in miss-match, Floyd hand picked this kid for a very good reason, he's Floyd's perfect Max reward/Min risk type of fighter, he ai'nt premier league. It goes witout saying that the ref could play a big part in this fight as in all of Floyds fights:hey

I'm pretty sure Floyd can hurt Ortiz, and he might even drop him at one point of the fight. But like in true Mayweather style he won't push for the stoppage win and takes a wide UD instead.

Still hoping for a Ortiz win of course :hey

Mayweather may not knock people out(lately), but for whatever reason, anywhere from mid fight, on, all of his opponents look like they want to quit.
