I have been wanting to make this thread, good one slugger... just to prove that mayweather doesn't carry Berto's physical attributes and is the more harder puncher... Berto throws bombs... May just boxes, May is not gonna score a KD, could take out a LW or an old man mosely... you swear he gonna take out a young Lion with a mentality like a beast for everything he has been trough.

:rofl The vid is in full speed except for the part where Oscars legs buckle. So why did Oscar fall to the side like that? Just decided to take a nap in the middle of a combination?

 

Berto hits harder. But judges reward 100% accuracy over inaccurate power. May wins this fight by a large margin.

 

Berto for sure but I see a great chance for a Mayweather stoppage vs Ortiz in the same way that Hatton got stopped, by walking into something perfectly timed and placed. Mayweather has about average power for a welter, Berto has good welter power.

FMJ is vastly sharper with his accuracy and timing, though.

 

Ortiz seems bigger than Hatton though, which makes me think he should last the entire duration.

 

I disagree he hurt Shane to the point that Lampley was talking KO and Nazeem considering stopping the fight.

 

I hate the revisionist history that comes with every boxer. It makes it impossible for anyone to get full credit for a victory. 'Floyd fought past prime Oscar and Mosley, a blown up light-welterweight Hatton.' 'Pacquiao had bull**** catchweights.' 'Tyson wasn't training for Douglas.' 'SRL fought the wrong fight the first time against Duran.'

Instead of giving credit to any fighter, people forget how the fight was viewed at the time and just make up bull**** afterwards. I remember how sure everyone was that the 140 Hatton was going to give Pacquiao a real challenge and how Mosley's power would intimidate Floyd but then afterwards it turned into Hatton being shot and Mosley being too old to throw. Right now Ortiz is hyped by many but these same people will be calling him just another raw slugger should Floyd beat him.

I always thought that Cotto would have been a real challenge for Floyd and it's one of the fights he was most criticised for avoiding but if Mayweather ended up dominating then Cotto would have been called just another one dimensional fighter who oversteps his jab, has a weak chin and walks into shots.

Right now, Ortiz is generally regarded as the Welterweight champ while Manny and Floyd dance around the division so I hope this will be remembered after the fight regardless of outcome.
