As an American, let me way that having Eastern Europeans rule the division is pretty aewsome.

It seems Wlad is waiting for Povetkin vs Chagaev to set up his next opponent.

Nah there's 'quiet' confidence to him and no problem with being respectful. Think of all the clowns of late that have talked themselves into fights like kingpin, haye, old briggs etc. They got to a big fight and didn't do ****. The fact that they're viewed as contenders and are actually fighting each other sells this fight and I doubt that them acting as if they're Ali or Tyson (they're not -- in personality or fighting style and ability) would sell the fight all that much more. I think fans just want a good hw scrap and if these guys do that, no one's gonna care what they do before the fight. A lot of the Eastern Euros seem to be raised differently and not go for talking out of their asses because it ain't natural to them. That's fine with me.


Boxing fans have seen too many guys talk mad **** and then hug and kiss ass after a fight and say "i was just hyping the fight, dog... etc" In short, that **** is getting old, just get at it in the ring


Now Povetkin taking years off from fighting real comp IS a reason to criticize him

I remember reading that he was injured by his shadow.

 

They couldn't possibly do any worse...Hell, NOBODY could represent that title worse than Haye!
