Love Gomi exciting as hell, would also add Kawajiri to his good wins he was a cracking fighter.

As exciting and as great as I think Gomi is he doesn't have the depth on the record to be a great.

Very good. He lost when he faced that generation's great LW and it wasn't even close. He has some good wins but he lost badly to the best competition he faced.

Gotta be a great. No longer, but in his prime he was the best Lightweight in the biz, and ran through the division's best fighters like a freight train.

As an aside, he's the only one I've voted great thus far outside of Tito. Not that I think Tito was legitimately one of the best fighters to do it, but his accomplishments put him up there.

Kawajiri was a huge win at the time, too. Wins over Luis Azeredo were very good as well.

He's kinda like the Matt Hughes of the lightweight division. He will beat above average guys but not top level fighters.

What the **** are you talking about? Matt Hughes beat Georges St Pierre and BJ Penn. On what planet are those two elite ATGs not "top level fighters"??

For a short period he was great, Pride's lightweight division was stacked beside Shaolin they had all the top guys and Gomi was top dog.
