That would be pretty cool - chance for the UFC to build more stars from their other markets. http://www.yourmma.tv/news/details.asp/id/1676/ufc-looking-at-uk-vs-australia-tuf-series-2011.htm
Sadly Aussie boxing can't get much lower, this MMA push is certainly not helping. My local pub shows the UFC but hardly any boxing :-(
My video store is chock full of weekly borrow UFC disks. I borrow them all the time. By contrast they've got about 3 boxing disks in total.
three Australian broadcasters yeah right UFC will not be on any major tv station is going to be on pay tv on some foxtel channel like Fuel TV where they put all the UFC stuff. i don't get how UFC is big in Australia not many people have foxtel but they always get sold out shows.
Mainstream media still see UFC and MMA as babaric to some extent, sometimes articles are written in the main news papers and I remember George Sop getting interviewed on mainstream TV b4 a UFC event in Sydney once, but overall it still has a long way to win over the mainstream public. MMA will remain on pay TV as u pointed out above for a very long time.
This is sure to be big for certain demographics. Not sure if they should put it on fox if they want mainstream coverage.
The last season of the ultimate fighter season 13 , was on the go channel same day delayed from the states , 5 days before fuel tv had it.
what......this sounds ****ing terrible, TUF has really gone **** lately i think its about time they scrap it
