I think this is what most people reference as evidence of Floyd's decline. The problem is none of us really know if he is just adapting his style or if his body is forcing him to fight that way. Ortiz fight will tell us a lot.

The greatest decline in Floyd has been his urge.

It's hard to tell about any decline in his fighting skills or abilities, because he doesn't fight enough.

All true, and yet he's very slightly past his prime, which at WW anyway, was 2005-07.

    I would say he' s lost maybe 5 %.

(Pac's decline might be slightly more).

Both men are past their best by so little that it scarcely matters as of now.

In a couple of years time, that might no longer be true.

The guy is 34, right about the time when most start to lose something, especially in your legs. Your legs are the first thing to go when you start to decline. Maybe he purposely decided to fight Mosley flat footed because he felt confident enough. Or maybe he had no choice. We'll find out Sept. 17th.

He already told us he wants to stand his ground for Ortiz.

when u get older, u adapt. u have no choice. that is why guys like vitali and bhop do. only the greats do. floyd as always is the best at adapting in the ring. for him it comes naturally

He's going to try to punish Ortiz. Little Movement like vs Mosley.

Disagree, I don't believe he moved well at all in the DLH match, he looked lethargic all-round due to the extra pounds. He moved better in the Marquez and Mosley (more so the Marquez bout) IMO.

Floyd looks as good as ever. IMO it's Pac who has declined since 08/09

3 consecutive fights without a KO, when's the last time this has happened to Pac?

Who knocks out guys like Clottey, Maragarito and Mosley?

It took Mosley a great deal of power punches to have Margarito rocked and stopped. Pacquiao had Margarito rocked badly on a couple of occasions also.

It's not really a good judge on whether a boxer is declining by looking at who they are knocking out.

Example - Pacquiao's performance against Margarito was great. You could probably argue that his performance against Margarito was better than Mayweather's against Mosley.
