Where is the Tyson hate originating from?

Klitschko fans. Plain and simple. They don't like fighters who would've put their hero's heads into the third row.

Deep down he was a ****ing *******. Classless loser.

Didnt he make 250 million and then go bankrupt. He was a real stupid ****** ****. He was founded and raise by a legend custa and disgraced his name raping that girl. Acting like a child outside the ring and signing with don king and biting holys ear made him roll over in his grave. For all the fans that order that ppv and got 3 round was a disgrace

Atg disgrace. Mike tyson. Beast in the ring nothing more.

You said it. Additionally, the Buster Douglas that beat an un-prepared Tyson was actually an amazing fighter, that ONE night. THAT Douglas probably would have beaten either Klitschko.

    - Anyone who thinks otherwise probably never actually saw the fight.

-Just like anyone who thinks Tyson wasn't one of the top 5 deadliest HW's ever clearly has not seen many of his early pro fights. - Or maybe they just don't know squat about boxing.

Now, does that make Tyson an ATG? I dunno, because everyone has a different definition of that term. IMO, He is, and is clearly ahead of Lewis, simply because of his abilities & aggressiveness. Other folks think that "quality of opponents" matters, so they would rank him lower. (You could call it the "Larry Holmes" syndrome.)

    Neither is wrong.

i think most people cant see the potential in tyson because as most people they only see the negative and not focus on the positive. tyson in his hey day was as skilled as they come. speed, power, under rated defense. he was the total package. the only problem with tyson was that he came from a broken home so he never grew up correctly. he was like 19 when cus died, the only father figure he ever had. to be able what he was able to accomplish without cus at such a young age is amazing. u can thank rooney for that. once rooney left the picture, thanks to don, he was never the same. and that is when came his downfall

A portion of his career was spent beating on cans for substantial pay and he seems to get a pass for this. He was a talented small heavyweight with tremendous power and good skill. He pissed a lot of it away and seemed content to earn money toward the latter part of his career. He is overated by so many on here simply because he is a good story and many of his fights are KO highlight reels - albeit against some terrible opposition. I enjoyed watching him and he does have some decent wins.

Tyson started to decline once Cus Died, its as simple as that! If cus were around for 5 more years, Tyson would have reigned for much longer than he did

Part of Mike died with Cus
