I watched Wlad pound an old & lathargic Brewster & I'm still not impressed. Would he have all those wins if he wasn't a huge guy? If he was only 6'-1" or so, would he have done as well as he has? I just don't see it. He'd be an average HW. Its his huge size that gives him big reach & big right hand power. If it wasn't for that, he'd be a Chump...not a Champ. This content is protected
Yes - and if Churchill was one foot taller he would´ve been the president of the US of America! Idiot!:-(
No that's an easy question, maybe of the cruiser/light hw division. He's that good b/c he's soo big and athletic and skilled
ask yourself the same question only change wlad's name to lennox lewis. afterall , lewis had the same trainer what if Ali was 5ft 9?...we can use this logic on everyone.
Would Mohammed Ali have been the greatest heavyweight of all time if he were 5ft 10inches tall? Stupid question, right? Wlad makes the most of the physical gifts he was born with and uses those blessings; reach, leverage, height and power to dominate the heavyweight division today. Just enjoy his performances while he's in his prime. We'll all miss him when he retires in a few years. Interestingly enough, I think his haters will miss him the most.
yup...he's actually the quickest heavyweight i've seen at his size...i imagine him being even quicker at a smaller frame. You can't deny how accurate his punching is as a whole.
All I can say to this evergreen thread is that size isn't everthing. Check out Big Nicolay Valuev, McBride, Timo Hoffman etc. all are big but they suck so much more!
You really cant say that because if he was 6'1 he'd have a totally different style of fighting then he does now.. He fights as he should fight.. he fights tall. You also have to take into account that since hes so big hes gonna be slower then a smaller man. It's like a give and take and he uses his advantage of height well.
agreed, if vladimir was shorter than he would not be vladimir, he would be a different person name ladimir
