Exactly if your actually read what it says you can understand it. He says that he used to be on the bottom now he is on top. I had a single mother who was often elsewhere and didn't really give a ****, some of my mates had a solid family though. The thing is though, he was normal. In rap going to jail adds credability and is seen as cool, being shot does, carrying weapon does but in real life this is all seen as a mark of shame.
