Vitali has only lost by injury as a pro boxer. He's never even been officially knocked down. How many other HW Champions can say that? Especially champs with multiple, successful defenses and a ridiculously high KO ratio? He's very accurate and he throws more punches per round than any HW I can name.

 

Call me a sad ist but I'd love to see the brothers fight. As a true fan of Heavyweight boxing I can't think of a better fight. It would be bigger than Floyd vs. Pac..................

One brothers begacy would be sealed near the top & the other, unfortunately, would be an "also ran."

 

Look man I'm not a hater but when a guy loses it's a loss...end of. Don't forget one of those losses from an injury was from getting punched in the face too much. So when someone says a guy has never lost and he has two losses on his record I call bull****. It's not like he was robbed on the scorecards or anything. I think vitali is bad ass to do what he's been doing

 

You said a loss is a loss and that just isnt true. The manner of a loss impacts a fighter greatly and the fans view of a fighter greatly. I guess you have never seen a fight where both fighters stock went up? if not you should watch more boxing.

If you cannot understand there is a difference between losing by KO1 or getting the **** knocked out of you for 12 rds
vs
a guy who tears his shoulder and is winning every rd. Then frankly you have no hope as a boxing fan

Can you not read? The guy I was responding to said Vitali never lost. Well has he lost twice or not? He's lost twice. When I said that I didn't mean that different types of loses don't have more weight than others, although I like how you side stepped the Lewis loss and only mentioned his torn shoulder in the Byrd fight. I guess I should have been more clear.... Vitali has lost twice. Once by quitting and once by getting hammered in the face until it looked like hamburger meat. By the way that was the last great heavyweight fight IMO.:deal

 

Lots of boxers lose by injury. Like when they get punched so hard they actually fall down.
