Malanaggi jabs and dances and well. Hattons chin at 140 after seeing him against Tsyzu back then indicated he had a decent beard. At welter I suspect his chin is a little fragile. This being the case no one is going to give Paulie the decision after jabbing and dancing vs Hatton.
Malignaggi is a slick boxer, but he is no Mayweather. He has neither the same array of punches nor the defensive upper body movement of Mayweather. There is no comparison. Paulie is on his own against Hatton. If Malignaggi sleeps on Hatton because of his fight with Mayweather, then it will be at his own risk.
I like Paulie, my favorite fighter at 140, and actually thought he had a chance against Hatton before his last fight but it seems that he has regressed as a fighter. He is nowhere near PBF's league.
As far as being a Mayweather lite- No. He is found lacking in that analogy. Also, as far as doing the same thing to hatton as Money May- There will be no one punch knock out. There probably wont even be a knockout ... but when i think about his chances against Hatton I am not left entirely in the Britt's corner. Here's my take on the fighters. Malignaggi looked unimpressive against an irregular boxer in Ngoudjo. I think that he will land a lot more on Hatton because hatton leaves himself a lot more open and has a more regular timing. Also, Hatton looked miserable against slicktype fighters. A loss to Mayweather, a controversial decision over Collazo. I think that Malignaggi may have the flighty feet and quickness to beat Hatton to the punch. No- Malignaggi is no mayweather, but I don't expect his to fight like mayweather either and let hatton wear himself out on the inside. He will keep him at bay with the same jab that kept the iron chin of one Miguel Cotto from landing his hellacious bodypunches. While Malignaggi may lack the knock out power, you cannot deny that he has an amazing, necksnapping jab that has and will again make his opposition hesitant to step into. His chin is in an upper eschelon as well as seen by him going the distance in the Cotto war. Any comments?
Let me expand on my no answer. Paulie isn't as strong or hard hitting as Floyd. Also his defense is much more simple. Floyd utilizes shoulder rolls, parying, his arms, lateral movement, the works. Paulie simply bends at the waist most of the time to avoid punishment. They are on two wildly different levels. Floyd is a great fighter and wouldn't possibly lose to Herman N.
comparing paulie to mayweather PLEASE!!! wtf is buddy thinking???? just shows how much he knows about boxing oh my god
