Steward: "Vitali is a master of all these weird strange punches that he can land"

I think that's why he doesn't look good sometimes when he has to come foward and be the guy leading off, its not his bread and butter, so he hasn't looked as good in fights against Johnson, Gomez to a degree, but looked stellar against Arreola.

I think VK's ability to counter is what gave Lewis so much trouble. Also, you would think Vitali leaves himself open with the way he sways away from punches, but because he's so tall, its hard to nail him with something.

 

Vitali was an excellent kickboxer and fought on very even terms with the world kickboxing (and boxing) champion James Warring. That fight video used to be on Youtube, but I haven't seen it there lately.

 

Seems it took a senile Steward about 10 years to figure this out and he had this overnight epiphany now.
