I just meant including variations on these three exercises. Planks raising right hand and left leg, side planks, different kinds of supermans and pushups, etc.

Don’t waste time doing exotic lifts like overhead squat to work your core. Some focused ab work like weighted crunches and leg lifts work your abs better than anything and heavy power lifts are what works best for your lower back. The idea that you should develop lifting programs around the core is nothing but new age personal trainer i.e. conmen bull**** designed to rip you off.

Honestly why in the world would a personal trainer train you the right way with simple compound movements? The more simple the workout the less you need the trainer. They are in the business of getting you to come back. The more redicilous they can make your workout, like squatting while standing on a on a swiss ball, the more money they make.

Your post gives the impression that trainers are car salesmen :nono. Other than a main client of mine, most of my clients train with me for about a month, then do their own thing for about 2 months and then come back once they hit a plateau and need a new focus. Not only that, but my training is very simple (granted I do a lot of boxing/mma conditioning routines) and I dont put clients on swiss balls either.

I understand where you are coming from becuase there are a lot of terrible trainers who are out to get money only but its not cool to classify all trainers in that category.

Nothing presonal man, I just disagree with your comments.
