that restores my faith a little bit in the people here at esb. anyone who is even a tad bit objective sees that its mayweather. not even close.

I have to say Pavlik with Mayweather a very close second.

Pavlik was the underdog for his big fights. Oscar is a good win, but Hatton at 147?

Hatton is a better fighter than Miranda

Is the gap between Pavlik and Miranda as big as between Mayweather and hatton?

I think that the fact he went up a weight and fought a 1/2 decent Oscar is a good win. But no better than Cotto's win over Shane and not as good as stopping the MW champ.

You can't penalize Mayweather for being head and shoulders over his competition. There is not one fighter from 154 on down who would be the betting favorite over Mayweather. Quite simply put, it's much easier for Pavlik to find guys that are close to his talent level than it is for Mayweather.

    Yes but for example:

How many fighters at 147 could stop Hatton like Mayweather did? How many people at 160 or even 168 could stop Miranda like Pavlik did?
