I think that the fact he went up a weight and fought a 1/2 decent Oscar is a good win. But no better than Cotto's win over Shane and not as good as stopping the MW champ.
You can't penalize Mayweather for being head and shoulders over his competition. There is not one fighter from 154 on down who would be the betting favorite over Mayweather. Quite simply put, it's much easier for Pavlik to find guys that are close to his talent level than it is for Mayweather.
Yes but for example: How many fighters at 147 could stop Hatton like Mayweather did? How many people at 160 or even 168 could stop Miranda like Pavlik did?
