Haha, and that guy has gone 6-9 since he lost that fight.

Amazing yet, I didn't see the fight but from the scores it sounds like it may have been a competitive fight between Balzsay and Kashtanov

yeah it was very close i had it 115-113 Balzsay the judges were perfectly spot on imo and Kashtanov was far better and sharper than he looked in older fights on youtube.. he faded in the second half but it was the first time hes been in a true fight and he proved what hes made of. that guy is no joke

Escopeta, you know more than me, has Balzsay slowed down since the beating he took against Stieglitz (followed by the tough loss against Gutknecht? Or was he never that good to begin with? OR...would you say that Kashtanov is actually pretty decent?

The fight is on youtube; actually it was quite a good one. Could have gone either way IMO. And yes: the WBA is a joke.

Pick em fight. Thought Kashtanov might've nicked it though. Doubt he will trouble the best in the division however.

Balzsay was a solid amateur 231-27 with some noteable wins over Bute or the likes of Darren Barker and he looked good in his early pro campaign. well he didn´t look good against Masoe but closed the show in style when came in with a lead right uppercut followed by a short straight left that sent Masoe to crushing the canvas. He was also about to get a HBO deal. they wanted to build him up in contrast to the Showtime S6 like they did with Bute providing he had beaten Stieglitz but that felt apart after his surprising loss. Balzsay is actually an accurate puncher with explosive hands and decent counter punching skills and a good jab but hes never been the same after he got defeated by Stieglitz. The fight with Gutknecht was a snoozer yet I don´t think anyone aside from the two judges had Gutknecht winning this fight. I´d put all those guys Balszay, Kashtanov, Bika, Pavlik, Stieglitz, Sartison, Groves, Degale maybe some more in a pot and call it the 2nd row in the 168lbs division. Kashtanov is physically big and strong and has already a bit of Roachs mark on him. he was definitly a worthy contender for that b level strap..
