More double standards with Maywather and Pac

yes pea gave chavez a catchweight, but at that time chavez was the one in the driving seat.

people had no issues with hatton making the jump at the time, he still easily outweighed Floyd on fight night.

the ONLY reason JMM v Pac is acceptable is because of the unique situation where the WW champ weighs the same as the LW champ combined with the faith he won't hydrate overly.

 

What weight class were they supposed to fight at. Would it have been ok for Hatton to "drain" mayweather to 140. Did DLH, drag Mayweather up to 154.

Hatton got his ass kicked becasue Mayweather was superior. Weight had chit to do with it.

 

While it's true that Malinaggi is feather fisted, Hatton also TKOd him, something even Cotto was unable to do.

And yeah, historically Hatton put on a ton of weight between fights, he was considered something of a beast at 140. A weight where he campaigned and won all of his major and defining fights at.

Also, let's be real, Hatton needed a new trainer and maybe Sr. wasn't the best match, but if anything an emphasis on defense probably should have helped him not hurt him.

All that said, I don't discredit FMjr win over Hatton, I just don't think it was as impressive as Pac's.

No you don't understand. Floyd should make concessions to all of his opponents, no matter if he is the champ, the bigger star, or if they call him out.

He should have met Hatton at 140 because Hatton was unbeatable there, and a superb, beast of a man. Only the mighty, invincible Pacman could have EVER beaten the ATG Hatton at 140. :nono

Double Standards or not fight should have happened at 147 in 2009 when both were at their peak. Its all downhill from here boys. :deal

I've only ever heard people try to mention this, whenever Pac is accused fighting Floyd's left overs. Like I said, I've never come across anyone on ESB (that's not a troll) try to disparage Floyd's win over Hatton due to weight. Most, if not all, reasonable people will agree Floyd beat him because he was the better fighter.

Pac fans may argue about which win was better, but they won't claim Floyd benefitted from Ricky coming up to 147.

 

So what about the PEDS?
