Ya that seems to fit in with what most people are saying about the lad. Loads of Heart, etc.

Although his key attributes are that he has the heart of a lion and plenty of determination, he must have bundles of skill too. European medals aren't given out too easily! As you say, he will probably improve immensely with the high performance training.

This is irrelevant to an extent, but just out of curiosity, are the Sweeneys (gary, michael, etc.) travellers?

Yeah they are travellers I think .Yeah dont get me wrong he is a very good boxer aswel he completely outboxed the Ukranian lad on wendsday with some very good movement and was in and out popping off combinations but he is not on the level of Joe Ward or Korshunov skills wise, mind you not many people are tbf !

Yeah from Ballinrobe but what has that to do about boxing?
Gary is fast, aggressive, throws great body shots and is as game as hell, but he brings a load more than that to the table. A nice fella to boot.

Truth is most Russian satellite countries produced serious boxers pre Berlin wall. After Russia and Cuba, Azerbaijan and Ukraine( in particular) via with Ireland as the third best country in the World.

If he pulls out that means that will be the third time he has scuppered a but in Ireland. :-(

As long as Frampton can box for the vacant title, it won't make a massive impact on the promotion. This could benefit Carl, as in it will give him a safer 12rder and then down the line with a bit more experience he can box Kiko.

Gary Hyde is on facebook claiming Willie Casey has been offered the fight.

Willie will jump at it but if i was Gary id avoid brickfists like the plague (lets face it Willie isnt great) as im not Gary however i really want to see this happen. Then Carl to defend against Kiko like Csey was suppossed to.This could be a great bit of fortune for Carl.

How about a top ten, pound for pound, Irish traveller list? Pro and amateur.

    1 John Joe Nevin
    2 Joe Ward
    3 John Joe Joyce
    4 Frankie Gavin
    5 Michael Sweeney
    6 Gary Sweeney

    ... throwing these out there...

if Casey doesnt go for it Rendall Munroe is supposed o be fighting in september so is probably in training,in fairness to the binman he is always in good condition. This would be a real tester for Frampton.
