At the end of the day Haye got exactly what he wanted: a million Dollar payday. He never cared for delivering a memorable performance. He never cared for a legacy. All that was just a smokescreen.

All he wanted and got was a way to retire from boxing at an early age without landing on the inevitable journeymen route like many boxers routinely do.

It all worked out for Haye. He lied, bullshitted and ripped off millions of gullible fans in the process. And he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Taking away the hype and the rest of that BS... then Haye did well taking into account he isn't a natural HW, he doesn't have much experience in the division and he was fighting against the bigger and stronger boxer.

He was only going to ever win with a brutal KO imo.... just didn't get that lucky shot he needed.

Vlad was allowed to hold on for about 15 seconds when Haye connected in the last round....

when youre a heavyweight...a guy 220 pounds can put any man to sleep if he can punch.... this junk about him being too small is crap.... but to answer your question...for the over 10 million he made...he ripped off his fans and was an EPIC FAIL as he barley threw any punches...while giving new meaning to the word REVERSE

He did well, he landed majority big shots, nearly Ko'ed him in the 12th, and slipped his punches at will, if they fought again I'm sure Haye will beat him, he was just a little gun shy, he knows he can take Wlads punch so I think he will do well if they fought one more time, he has no shot against Vitali though.

Haye put on a decent showing, the hate he got for that fight was uncalled for.

He surprised me positively on his weak points; stamina, punch resistance and disappointed on tactics and power.

He ****ed up (both) entrances, made Lennox look silly and the toe-show wasn't pretty. But those are irrelevant to the fight.

    Wlad was simply stronger package.

Haye = All talk, no substance.

Haye showed in the ring that he has zero technical ability. His entire gameplan is to run like a *****, pot shot with sloppy, off balance overhand punches and pray for a lucky KO.

Haye is an unskilled, one dimensional ass clown who didn't deserve the WBA belt to begin with, not to mention the shot against Wlad.

    Exactly!

I thought I was the only one who thought he made Lennox look like an idiot by making him wait around, then the ring walk was strange...

Well enough to suggest he could beat him with a better trainer/gameplan/more experience

I wouldn't call Hayes punches weak or pawing, Wlads face after the fight considering Haye didn't seem to land on him too often suggested otherwise. As did Wlad, who said that nobody does that to his face.

@Chef, Chambers defence looked good? He just stood in front of Wlad with his hands up and eventually got sparked cold, not much impressive about that. Haye attacked, Wlad was just to quick on his feet and got out of range as soon as Haye attacked.

I said before the fight that Haye would make Wlad miss alot and he did it with his hands down by his waist standing right in front of Wlad. No other Heavyweight on the planet could do that without getting sparked.

As for the making Lennox wait thing, that was due to having to have another injection in his foot which is why Booth was doing up his laces on the way to the ring.

I think he did better than any recent opponants. Id say he was in less danger of gettin knocked out than Vlad even though he was always losing the actual contest. Think toe or no toe he should of took more risks than he did, especially by the 8th onwards when the fight was pretty much beyond him points wise cuz he could of floored him if hed landed a few bombs. He took shots well, was wily enough to make Vlad miss alot. He was in that fight till the end, not on points but in the fight.

His constant knee taking bugged me even though i knew what he was gettin at and he said way too much about what he was guna do and its not the fact he failed its that he didnt even try to an extent.

But all in all i thought he was more competitive against Vlad than any of The Ukranians other recent opponants and on top of that Haye could, and should of done more. Its a crappy ending to this 2 year saga for a Haye fan like me really. Nothing wrong with throwing it all in there and gettin taken out trying to go for broke but he didnt really do that and when he had already lost on points arounds the 8th he should of gone for broke cuz he was gettin no where near enough success with the rare lunging counters.
