How can one say weight makes no difference? The extra weight Floyd had on him allows him to deliver more force onto his punches and into Marquez' face.

You're just harping on the same old things and not trying to understand a different point of view, cause it bothers you probably that Floyd had no problems against Marquez while Pac fought two life and death fights against him, similar to how a lot of Floyd fans are bothered by Pac having an easier time against Hatton and Oscar than Floyd did.

I still dont know about 152, he looked bigger imo. but even if that is the case he wont get credit if marquez gets blown away by pac in november, it proves he most likely has no business above 135. When he retires it might look differently but at this point thats how it looks.

Absolutely worthless fight. About as meaningful as Roy Jones beating Trinidad. Garbage. Nonsense fight. Marquez is well out of his prime weight class. 135 ain't even Marquez prime. Dude was rocking @ 126lbs. Take him to 147lbs when he isn't even a fast fighter to begin with, and then put all that damn weight on? He couldn't drink enough **** in the world to make the fight any more significant.

Ehh, Floyd was NEVER light middleweight. He won the light middle weight title while being a small welterweight.

And how come he had no problem going up fighting a great champ who was far bigger than him, and Marquez did?

Not impressive, aside from a bloated and smaller JMM, style wise JMM also has disadvantage. JMM does not look impressive when a good boxer tries to box him. For example against a past his prime MAB(many thought MAM won), JMM is not impressive.

Now imagine a bloated and smaller JMM against a welterweight with longer reach and better physical strength and you will know why the JMM vs Floyd is a disgrace fight. Another thing, Floyd did not honor the contracted weight and comes heavier.

At least against Pacquiao their physical features are the same(height, reach etc). Against Mayweather, JMM has zero advantage. Now make Maywether's physical size the same with Pacquiao(smaller reach) and his fight against JMM might be closer.

It doesn't bother me in the slightest that Pac had harder fights with Marquez than Floyd did, because Pac fought Marquez at Marquez's prime weights, and Floyd fought Marquez 3 and 4 weights above Marquez's prime weights, and cheated the catchweight anyway after making Marquez jump 2 divisions in the process.

If you genuinely can't see the difference, I feel sorry for you man.

 Yeah, having advantages in weight, height and reach makes NO difference to any fighter. Neither does you weighing your optimum fighting weight while your opponent carries extra weight round his midriff that he has NEVER carried in a boxing ring before.

You couldn't make this **** up. :rofl

Floyd made him look totally foolish. Is not 100% meaningless. He didn't overpower Marquez, he just totally outboxed him and made him look amateurish. The schooling was just too much to say that it was only because of Marquez's weight.

Okay Popkins so how would the fight go if the best version of Floyd at 130 say the one who fought Corrales faces the Marquez of 2008 who fought Pac at 130......How does that fight go about being that the weight issue in their 2009 fight is such a big factor for you?

De La Hoya was taller, heavier and had better reach than Floyd.

    Didnt seem to stop him.

Also.who's fault is it that Marquez came in with a little extra fat on the midriff??

He had 6 months to pepare for the fight. Maybe if he had hired a proper strength and conditioner, instead of throwing rocks around mountains anddrinking his own ****,he might have been able to put on a few pounds of muscle.
Thats all it would have required.

Had Oscar did not gassed out, he would have won against Floyd.

And Floyd is faster than Oscar, where JMM has zero advantage against Floyd.

Tough! Thats boxing. Floyd would b faster regardless of weight or size.
