    Cheers. That's more believable and still a lot of money than most boxers will never ever get for any fight.

    Wait, so you're saying Kessler got paid more to fight an Arab nobody had ever heard of then he will get against Stieglitz?

    Kessler was the sports person of the year in Denmark last year. Not the boxer of the year.

    The sports person of the year.

    Ahead of people like Caroline Wozniacki.

    so he sells the tickets and it doesn't matter much who is in the other corner. for Bouadla he pockets like 95% of the money. Against Stieglitz he is giving Stieglitz a higher purse than he is taking for himself.

    Alright, well I looked on google to find Kessler purse for Bouadla but couldn't find anything. If you have a link I would be interested to see it.

    In any case, it seems highly unlikely to me that Kessler would be paid more to fight a bum in his home country than challenge for a world champion. Not least because a fight against Stieglitz will generate more money therefore there is more in the kitty to go round.

    It's highly likely Kessler makes this money to fight unknowns. He's a huge, huge star in Denmark and even if the opponent is an unknown millions still watch. It's why people like him and German fighters are happy staying in Europe fighting - risk/reward.

    Plus Kessler would get 80% of the purse vs bums and only 50-50 in World championships.

    It's like Bruno, Mcguigan or Naz etc in the UK. Those guys used to get the whole Country watching regardless of opponent.

    i red that the KBros earn 15 mil a fight. but pac man, and floyd earn more then 20.

    but im sure that 10 years will pass and Floyd would be bancrupt while PAc or Klits would be even richer then they are today
