PRIME Bruno by brutal KO.. He almost had Lewis doing the "zab dance" Haye should've stayed in cruiser
Bruno showed more ability in his losses to Witherspoon, Tyson 1 and Lewis than Haye has ever shown at heavyweight. Bruno's jab was excellent, he hit harder than Haye, he's also bigger and stronger than Haye. Bruno by KO in the middle rounds.
I expect Bruno to beat Haye 5/5 and even Wlad 3/5 (all by KO) he's all wrong for those guys. He will lose 5/5 against Vitali though.
he lost to a shot mike tyson? bruno himself had a detacthed retna and should have been nowhere near a boxing ring, he could have been blinded in that fight and only his manager bullshitting the doctors got him passed the pre-fight tests
I think you forgot that he; A) Wobbled prime Tyson in R1 in their first encounter. B) Gave LL hell, until he got stopped by him C) Only lost to absolute top fighters or guys that were good (all major beltholders) and had very good chins. His problem was his chin, but we know that from Haye also
Haye, just look at the speed difference and Haye wouldn't have much of a size disadvantage, he'd hit Bruno at will and make him miss until he takes him out
Prime Haye I think can avoid Bruno’s jab long enough to land one of his own while Bruno gasses/panics. prime Haye avoided one of the games elite jabbers in wlad for the majority of the fight, I think he would take Bruno out mid rounds Haye prime has elite reflexes and his power carried from cruiser to heavy easily
Yeah I think it’s a bad style match up for frank, the combination of Haye’s speed and power would have been a problem. The size issue can’t be underrated though but I just think Haye would land with that speed and accuracy he had and once Bruno was hurt he had trouble regaining himself. It’s one of those match ups where I prefer the boxer I’m picking against but have to be honest. Haye didn’t do that much at heavy really, but his destruction of Chisora was telling, I always felt he could have done more against Wlad as well.
pretty even TBH, the pair of them were probably about on par. I'd marginally pick Bruno, his CV was overall the more impressive given that he emerged from all of his losses (aside from Tyson II) with a fair amount of credit against top opposition, whereas Haye's losses were fairly unambiguously bad.
