Glad Oozthuizen got a fair shake. That was the only concerning factor in the fight. Oozthuizen was clearly the much better fighter.

Too bad Berto-Zaveck got cut short. Berto was the same old Berto, he was a bit more explosive it seemed like, but stamina issues, defensive issues still plauge him badly. If Zaveck had power, like Ortiz, Berto would have been done. Zaveck was very game, very determined. A really damn shame, would have loved to see how that fight would have turned out. Overall, a good night, when you factor in the Hall-McDonnell fight, but damn, it could have been much much better.

 

I agree that the fight was really heating up with some vicious uppercuts being exchanged.

Zavek showed great heart and chin but it would have ended badly had the fight carried on. Berto to me still looked fit and he'd have put a beating on a one eyed zaveck.

I'd like to see berto rematch him and ortiz. Maybe then he'd be up in the sweepstakes.
