I think Vitali will be one hell of an effective robot in this one.

Either way we as fans win (assuming we're fans of the sport not the individuals) because we get to see the continuation of one of boxing's best stories or we see adamek take vitali's title and unify with wlad :)

So, people who've actually seen a good deal of Vitali and not just scouted him on Boxrec still think he has massive heavyweight knockout power? :blood

(Mendoza, you are excluded from needing to answer the above question)

Youth ? He is 34, hardly a hot young prospect.

I've watched a good deal of Vitali & yes his huge righthand is long gone, but i still think he has the power to TKO Adamek on his feet. Even this Old Vitali hits harder than Arreola, & you should recall Arreola rocking Adamek several times... Well Vitali will be hitting Adamek often & with ease, as long as Goral keeps coming forward & trying to win. Indeed Adamek has decent footwork (although his balance is poor), but he won't have a hope in hell of winning if he runs away rather than fighting, not that a warrior like him would do such a shameful thing.

I do expect better fight then what people think. But Vitali will bloody him up and tko him in 10th. Adamek is undersized, and never been in ring with a guy of his caliber.

    I disagree, Kal.

Vitali is superior to Cristobal in just about every other intangible and boxing metric imaginable - but in raw power he is outmatched (which is weird, considering he's quite a bit bigger and in so much better shape as to be on the opposite end of the spectrum)

How much harder do you think Arreola hits? :think

He's a accumulation kind of guy too, never a one-punch banger.

Agreed there. Arreola can blow you over with a single shot only if you're fragile to begin with. Otherwise he has to club you down (which means he has to catch you first).

Vitali is the much more accurate and educated puncher, obviously - but he has even less thunder in his shots than the overrated-as-a-KO-artist Arreola, which is why it takes so many of them landing to do his victims in.

    Vitali is an arm puncher.

For perspective I'd rate Wladimir a 9 out of 10, Arreola maybe a 6.5 and Vitali a 4 when it comes to put-your-lights-out-instantly blunt-force-trauma-per-blow at HW.

Thanks for your perspective IB. :good

How would you rate the righthand power of the Peak Vitali who faced Lewis?

A bit better, but he still wasn't on the level of so much as a Rahman or McCall - else he'd have achieved the same result. ;)

Never a big puncher IMO. Always a flurry you to pieces type.

    Vitali by TKO !

Adamek lacks of head movement will kill him.......he will be an easy target for Vitali´s jabs and right hands....even Grant was able to land his right, let alone Vitali.....

Vitali's going to walk through him in a lopsided fight. Adamek struggled with Micheal Grant and looked extremely mediocre against Kevin McBride, and Vitali is going to want to make a statement by blowing out a fighter on his home turf.

Adamek at age 34 is in shape and in his prime. He really has not had a punishing fight, and as far as I know has never had a bad injury. I can agree there.

Close fight? I can't see Adamek out boxing, out slugging, or out working Vitali who gives and takes it much better.

Kal you better hope Mongoose doesn't show up or you're going to get hell.

As for the fight... Adamek is the one of the best the division has to offer. And people thought Michael Moorer sucked. Adamek is a class below Moorer IMO.
