I found it pretty interesting that Adamek has more experience than Vitali. (overall) Total fights: Adamek - 45 Vitali - 44 Rounds boxed: Adamek - 280 Vitali - 212 Years boxing: Adamek - 12 Vitali - 15 Championship record: Adamek - 7-1 Vitali - 12-2 Championship rounds: Adamek - 73 Vitali - 107 What importance do you think experience plays in this fight?
Rounds boxed is huge for Adamek and champion fight rounds bigger for VK. This fight comes down to size and strength vs a faster prime figher in Adamek.
So what do you think? Adamek has youth and speed on his side, but Vitali doesn't necessarily have the edge in experience. Do you think that gives Adamek an edge? (of course the size edge goes to Vitali)
Not in this case. Overall, Vitali probably missed out on about 12 fights during his misdiagnosed back injury recovery/political career. And his early KOs also didn't give him them rounds boxed that Adamek has. Also, people say Adamek has fought top fighters, well, not at HW. Arreola is Bclass, as is out of prime Grant. Vitali also could have gotten to Valuev, Toney, Ruiz, and prime Rahman during his hiatus, and those names would have surely given him rounds, and increased his credentials as if they needed the boost. Size, power, and chin are the determining factors in this fight, and Vitali has the edge by far in those categories. IMO Gomez and Johnson are both slicker fighters that Adamek, and they didn't fair well vs the big K2, Adamek has too much balls to run like those guys did, and IMO he'll be starched as soon as Vitali finds him. Klitscko KO5 with Adamek up on the cards.
This is pretty wrong to base it off experience of other divisions. You can only have experience in HW, which Adamek has none of in title matches. So the experience factor goes to Vitali easily.
Despite Adamek has more rounds boxed, I think that Vitali is a bit more experienced. But to be honest they have both a very big ring experience, so it will not be a factor as neither of them is a novice. They are both ring veterans.
I dont see where is more experience for Adamek, Vitaly has more years, more championship fights and rounds. Adamek has more rounds overall but out of championship level so that only means he struggled more when he was younger or that he fights more lesser opponents ... the nod is going to Vitaly and clearly.
I really don't see how all these numbers make one bit of difference. Its all gonna come down to who gets hit more often.
Not necessarily. Dozens of title fights have been lost by the guy with the better % and more punches landed. EFFECTIVE aggressiveness wins rounds, not potshotting or pitterpattering. Unless of course your Joe Calslappy.
The point is that Vitali has more. You can't just look at fights and title matches without first observing the divisions that the guys were in.
