Well if you can see that you are blind, no matter what place time or weight they fought Ricky would not be able to beat Mayweather, Ricky is good fighter Mayweather is in top 50 of all times, these two are different class!!!

i still see mayweather winning but closer definitely..... at one point the ref was just shouting at him b4 he threw a punch!! a pressure fighter dissallowed to apply pressure in the style he had won his biggest fight to date!!

Cortez is a ****ing **** ref.He simply sucks.AND he's an arrogant ****.AND he reffed the Hopkins-Calzaghe bout exactly the opposite of how he reffed the Mayweather-Hatton fight. But the amount of times that the job he did in the Mayweather-Hatton bout is brought up as threads on these boards by Hatton fans is astonishing due to the lack of threads that don't refer to how bad Dave Parriss was in the Tsyzu-Hatton fight(or even Sexton-Rogan and MAB-Khan).The fact is that Dave Parriss is even a WORSE ref than Cortez, and this fact is rarely mentioned on these boards and NEVER has a thread dedicated to it.Ricky Hatton was a FILTHY fighter and was allowed to do WHATEVER the **** he wanted against Tsyzu, and there is not ONE THREAD on these boards that ever mentions that.I guess that the only time it's worth mentioning any ref with old hold and hit, headbutt and should blow Rick is when said ref isn't letting Hatton do any of those things:lol::lol:.

I think it was close. I think Hatton was actually Mayweather's toughest fight.

I think Hatton could have won if he fought in his country with his ref and the fight went 12 rounds, but Hatton wasn't at the right weightclass and couldn't take Floyd's power. At 140 I would say Hatton would win.

Hatton was no where near Mayweathers toughest fight. Corley and Emmanuel Augustus were tougher then Hatton.

Mayweather was laughing at Jim Lampley and Merchant during the 9th round it was so easy for him.

At 140 Mayweather knocks him out earlier.

With his ref?You mean Dave Parriss, hahahaha?Yeah,I guess a Hatton fan would say that. And you are aware that Mayweather started at 130,won a title there as well as at 135,140 and at 147,aren't you?

    Your Floyd obsession is unhealthy.

ref was very over eager, but in hindsight and im a fan of both boxers, more so at the time of ricky due to being english,
if it had been a different ref floyd would have still won regardless imho.

I don't think it's the same fight at 140. Mayweather doesn't have the power to knock him out at 140 for one. And also Hatton wouldn't tire out at 140, so there is actually a great chance that Hatton would have beat Mayweather at 140.

Hatton was competitive, it was not an easy fight for Mayweather and you can see that in his reaction after the knock out. Mayweather was setting Hatton up for that poiwer shot all night because he was having problems.
