Mayweather has been fighting the best since 1998, Pacquiao has been since 2003!!!

Longevity is one factor for judging fighters but there are numerous others. To be fair 2003 is close to the start of the decade, i’m not sure if a couple more years make much difference. Pacquiao was a world champion in the late 90s, so he’s been around for a while. Bernard Hopkins must hold the record, he turned pro in 1988 and is a world champion now.

Why are we discluding Mayweather opponent’s since this time anyway? Just a snapshot of the decade surely, a rare glimpse into what might have been. Until ‘the money’ became the crucial and overriding factor. He even changed his name to ‘money’. Nah, in truth there are lots of good fighters around, a top 5-6. Once it reaches that level it doesn’t matter who is no 1.

A floyd fanboy repeating one of their heroes catchphrases, it must be true!

Nevermind that Floyd punked out when the fights where there which would've sealed him fighter of the decade (Cotto, Margarito, Pac most notably). Whilst Pac took those challenges when called on and did the job of improving his legacy in the ring with his fists, not outside of it hiding behind the media with his mouth.

the floyd fanboys floyd phrase of the week:
"don't put words into my mouth"

    last week it was:
"no other athlete trains harder than our boy floyd"

Floyd has been pushing the date back further with each interview it seems, dominating since 98, dominating for 15 years, 16 years, since the 80's, next is probably when he was born.
Truth is 98 but he stopped facing the best in the mid 00's

:hey I respect your opinion, Bro. Let's hope Manny and Floyd fight soon so we can finally find out who deserves the accolade. My bet's on Pacquiao though.
