1.Calzaghe is naturaly the bigger man. He has to near kill himself to make 168 and has fought most of his carrier at a higher weight.

2.Hopkins does not have any hand problems. Joe cannot sit down on his punch's or he will break his hands. So you have to go with Hopkins.

power wise, hops bigger right hand /calzaghe bigger left hand, both got good chins so it will not be a factor

size wise hopkins at 6.1 is probably more muscualr and slightly taller.

naturally bigger, i would say they are both the same ,natural 168 fighters, just hops was able to boil down to 160 and calzaghe was always able to make 168 but never any lower.

HOP is a gym rat, thats why he could make 160 for all those years, he looks good at 175, its not weight put on, its muscle tone, JC is probably a natural at 175 now too, he struggles to make weight for 168 nowadays, so its about even I would say, possibly JC the bigger man,

But I tell you one thing, they will be close in weight on the weigh in!:deal

I think they are about the same. Hopkins looked verry good and strong when he fought Tarver, he looked better than in years. When he fought Winky at 170, hopkins didnt looked as ripped as against Tarver, dont know why. Maybe it had something to do with Shilstone who was Hopkins strenght and conditioning coach when he prepared for Tarver. Calzaghe might also look better if he moves up to 175.

Not just that. The way he throws his punches is why he breaks his hands. His punch technique is poor. That is why people call him a slapper. He does not break his hands b/c they just are more brittle then others. That is bull****. I am suprised he does not break his wrists. If he sits on his shots he still does not have a whole lot of power. He is an accumalation puncher. If he gets a good one under the chin he will put you down as would anyone else.

JC has brittle hands because he has spent his career smashing them into people's heads so often! His punch count/accuracy is very very high.

Actually Hopkins has a little more reach and more power tha JC, I don't know why people keep writing that JC is going to KO Hopkins or win a wide UD, that's funny.

JC doesn't have one punch knockout power. I see Hopkins as the puncher in this fight which feels strange to say but I can't see it any other way.

I think they have even power and are about the same size in all.

I dont think power and or size will be the deciding factor, it will be JCs speed, combinations and workrate that will get the better of BHop.

I think Hopkins will make Joe pay for his defensive flaws. I can see Joe wasting more punches than he has ever wasted before in this fight.

I agree about the KO, that won't happen. A wide UD is very likely though IMO.

    :happy come on Joe.

I dread to think how Hopkins' lungs are holding up come round 9...
