People love Hearns because he always came to fight. His aggressive style was what people love to watch. The straight left and right knocking out Duran was one of the most brutal knock outs I've ever witnessed. Hearn would have beaten Hagler if he had had a granite chin.

The shot that Hearns landed on Hagler that affected Marvin the most was actually a short right uppercut.

He didn't land his straight right on him the same way he did on Cuevas, Shuler, Duran, etc....with distance and full leverage, but he landed some hard shots that were sort of like right hooks around Marvin's guard.

Another guy who didn't see the fight popping off like an expert.

Hagler was rocked bad. If Tommy didn't hurt his hand, it would probably have been a different fight.

lol, hearns stopped him in his tracks (might have stunned him) and haglar just kept on coming MMH NEVER took a step back! man I watched that fight about 50 times son . . . 51 if you count before my last comment! Hell, I wanted tommy to win because he was my favourite fighter after SRL at the time. I never became a fan of MMH after i watched the SRL fight for a second time and realized he beat sugar.

I do agree, if tommy didnt hurt his hand it would have been very interesting because tommy was boxing beautifully (not because he had MMH in any trouble). I wish they had a rematch because of tommy's hand . .oh well!

I always thought it was a straight right, but whatever it is, he was the best at it. Downright scary.

More of a straight right, rather than overhand right

The right he landed on Duran was more of a hook. Look at the direction it continues after it lands (because its damn near impossible to tell before it lands, video capture quality wasn't up to snuff back then)

Hopkins has a pretty damn good overhand right.
