Rios wanted to fight Soto in Feb. 2011, just 2 months after Soto fought Antillon in Dec. 2010.
Soto said hed fight Rios later this year, and Rios didnt like that, cause Rios wanted to fight a not-fully-rested Soto.

Notice is too short for him to take on Morales IMO... Wouldn't be smart of him...

Yeah, I don't blame Maidana for not taking this rematch of their PPV main event first fight on a weeks notice.

I don't blame him either, that would have been the third fight switch in less than a month. He was probably peak trained when he found out Guerrero was out, so he's just taking a stay busy fight now. December seems like a much better plan. He would have been facing Morales with little notice and Morales will be peaking on schedule, I wouldn't do it either. Not Maidana's fault Mattysse got sick.

Give Maidana punching gloves and he retires Morales for good.

Cmon guys, give Maidana a break! He jumps from one war to another. Give him an easy payday in his homecountry, he deserves it!

Ohhhhhh :yikes , so its OK for Maidana to decline a 10-day noticed fight, but it wasn't OK for Soto to decline a 10-day noticed fight with Maidana last month.:think

    :huh

I'm not gonna say Maidana ducked Morales... but I don't think Maidana is very thrilled about a rematch either. To be on the undercard of a massive PPV event would have been great for his exposure. And I'm sure his fans in Argentina would gladly accept a refund to see him on the world stage. 50% duck!

The article is about Maidana turning down a fight.

Ohhhh, because Maidana has a fight against an unknown, its OK for him to avoid fighting an Old has-been Morales???

yet, it was not OK last month for Soto to decline a fight with Maidana, cause Soto already had a fight scheduled with Alfaro???:think

Yet, Soto was bashed for not cancelling his WBC Elimator fight with Alfaro in Mexico, but Maidana gets a free-pass for not cancelling his fight in Argentina.
    Ohhhhh, Double-Standard?
