Israel Vazquez vs Marquez 3: predictions

This fight won't end up in a decission . . . believe me.

Both have chances to knock each other out but I'm picking Vasquez to win and end this trilogy.

Vasquez has the confidence coming into this fight and it's a very huge advantage.

 

I picked Vazquez by KO the first fight and Marquez by KO the second fight, so whatever I pick on this one, go with the opposite.

 

So please don't tell us who you are picking this time.

Vazquez's best bet to win this fight is to take it to Marquez and Knock him out with ferocious hooks, just like in the second fight, he is not as skilled as Rafa to box with him.

Marquez's best chance to win is to establish his piston like jab and heavy straight right, this will wear down Izzy, he just needs to be patient and the KO will come by itself, just like in the first fight.

I trust that Marquez will make the necessary defence changes and be very cautious about trading with Vazquez. His skill will help him come up on top.

Vazquez by TKO

It's a f.kin' great rivalry between unbelievably good and strong fighters. The winner goes to HOF, the loser has to do a lot more for that.



It's hard to pick but it's easier to pick Vazquez.

-He was hurt a few times but never went down and recovered quicker
-nose bleed stopped the first fight, not a clean punch nor accumulation of punches
-better chin than Marquez' who's a little bit better boxer but with a weaker chin
-little bit of physical advantage for Vazquez
-pretty even in speed, defense, jab, little bit of reach advantage for Marquez but that wasn’t really a factor in the first 2 fight
-Marquez could be the biggest puncher is BW history but he didn’t have that kind of a KO punch at SBW
-Marquez is a little bit better at counterpunching, that could be a good tactic for him, bad for us

Altogether I think Vazquez is bigger, stronger, harder to knock down but any punch can finish this fight so there’s no one on Earth who can be sure about the winner. And guess what… if it will go to the scorecard, I GUARANTEE that half of the world is going to talk about controversy so a 4th fight is almost certain. And why not? We shouldn’t made a single complain if they would fight each other for the rest of their life.

 

I'd say Vazquez wins 6 out of 10 fight.

 

As much as I like RM, I think that Vazquez is the much harder puncher here and barring some freak accident like the broken nose he suffered in the first fight I can't see RM winning this fight.

 

I'm picking Marquez by decision. I feel he can outbox Vazquez and seems to get himself in trouble when he goes in for the kill. if he sticks to a patient gameplan, I think its his fight to lose. That being said, I'm not sure Marquez can resist the lure of going for the KO.

 

I hope Marquez wins, I really do. But god damn he needs to work on that defense, he gets hit way too much.
