Firstly, someone said that Adamek the Ring #2. I refuse to believe that. Vitaly and Wlad have clearly - VERY clearly been light years ahead of the next best for years and years. Secondly, Adamek gave a very tough spirited performance. Sure, if he had run around the ring he would have been hurt less.... but so what? He came to fight to try to win. He did not just come to run around for 12 rounds to survive. I think he did all he could, and that is really all we can ask for.
The man had the desire to be a hevyweight world champion and he gave it his best shot. I have much more respect for him than somebody like Chris Arreola who has been gifted with the raw minerals to become a heavyweight world champion but cant even bring himself to put the burgers down.
Adamek was embarassing. i think Kimbo Slice would have given us a more competitive fight last night than Adamek.He was just a punching bag,no movement,no punching,no nothing...
There was two great champions...but one was 12cm bigger... Adamek has big heart, after this big right hand in second round Golota would quit immediately. Also Adamek prove, that he has granite chin. He also is a great champ after fight - no **** talk about broken toe (while probably he has broken nose...). Adamek is great champion (and Klitschko too), deal with it. But it was last interesting contender for Klitschkos, 9/10 was the day, that HW finally died.
Adamek just isn't cut out to move up to HW successfully. Holyfield had his iron chin, Chris Byrd had his extremely slick defense. Adamek doesn't have good reflexes and Vitali wobbled him with punches that Sosnowski or Brigg were taking well. I respect Adamek a lot, but he should go back to cruiser with his head held high for really trying at HW.
