    Wow. You really are dense.

So you've been to his house and physically examined him? What did you do to diagnose bruised ribs?

This is the problem - how do you know exactly what is wrong with him? All he said was "i took some blows to my ribs and after ive had pain in my ribs i think ive bruised them". So you can make a 100% definate diagnosis on an Internet forum that this guy has bruised ribs from that statement, yes? You'd be a ****ing idiot to say yes. If you can't say yes you shouldn't be giving advice on what you think it may be.

I don't have to bring anything into it really, you're making yourself look pretty damn stupid without any help from me.

I dont think its anything more serious than brusied ribs as the pain is not to severe but it is tender to touch in the area i got hit an i get pain when i stretch my arms above my head an wen i take deep breaths.

i was only wondering if anyone else experienced this so i would know whether to try to train or not i dont want to make it worse and have to take more time out than i would orignally needed to if i rested it but i dont want to rest if its not nessecary, yh i feel discomfort when throwing punches out not extremely but enough discomfort to know something its right

    thanks for the advice

It happened to me with my first few rounds of sparring, as i said its pretty normal. Train or not train is up to you. If your afraid that you might make it worse than take a 2 week break but not a shut down, do very little training just so that you wont stay completely rusted when you go back. Putting ice helps alot and giving it time to heal, there are also some creams which i used which helped but research on about them before you go using them, if the pain still continues for a long period of time then you should go see a professional. Hope it helped =)

also well said:good, to be quite honest, whats best for you is to go see a professional, you might not even have bruised ribs? self diagnosis is always a stupid thing because most of the time you have no clue
