I agree with most of this post, but not moving cruiser to 210. Better to have a new division at 200-230 where good fights could be made. It's unfair to ask the Povetkin's and Arreola's of the division to cut to 210 but it's also unfair to expect them to compete with the Klitschkos given their physical disadvantages.

Yeah, but it was fair for Lennox Lewis to fight small fighters, or Ali to fight Jerry Quarry who was only 5 feet 10 inches tall, or a 5 foot 10 inch out of shape over-the-hill Tyson, Botha? Double standard indeed.................

The Heavyweights are supposed to be the "big men". A limitless division to basicly decide who is "the baddest man (in boxing) on the planet".
If you're too small to compete with the biggest and the best, you just do not belong in that category!

Men are getting bigger all the time, and now some of them have real skills to go with it some fans are starting to complain. Nobody complains about Ali and Foreman being as big as they were for their eras'. Unfair? It's the "division of kings", not the division of "when I was born earlier in history I might have been big enough then!"

Even boxers bigger then the Klitschkos could cut weight down to 230 pounds if they could not compete with them. People already complain about the division being weak. How does cutting it in half help?

Absolutely. If there's one thing boxing needs, it's more weight divisions.

Wait a minute did you just call Adamek a great boxer? Did you watch his fight with Arreola? He was a nice cruiser for sure, but his inadequacy in skill was made up for with his chin and power. I didn't need to watch the fight on saturday to know it was a farce.

His fight against Arreola let me down, and I stopped watching Adamek.

Idk Adamek has had a long career with some excellent wins I think it deserves the accolade 'great'. I would agree Vitali is the better boxer technically but that's not taking away much from Adamek.

Anyway maybe Haye is a better example. Here is a guy who is most effective at 210-215 who is matched up against a boxer of equal technical ability and superior size (240-250). The physical differences weren't as apparent as they were Saturday night. But in the end it was clear that in this era Haye can only be a legit champ if he boils to cruiser.

I think there might be some good fights to be made if you had a weight division cut-off at 230. Alot of fatass heavies would have to get in shape to make it.

So a whole new division for just two boxers ?

Apart of the Klitschkos there is no big sized heawyweight that is that dominant against the smaller fighters.

Tye Fields got crushed by Monte Barrett.

Michael Grant was destroyed by Dominic Guinn.

Nicolay Valuev got outboxed by Chagaev. And you can argue that Larry Donald, John Ruiz and Jean Francois Bergeron beat him too.

Alexander Dimitenko was taught a lesson by Eddie Chambers.

Helenius got outboxed by Sam Peter and Sergej Liakhovich until he stopped them.

Really no need for a new division, the Klitschko´s are just in a different league.

I agree it can't really be done, but I do find it hard to watch someone with a two stone weight advantage and lots of power already smash someone smaller around.

At times I was cringing for Adamek. He was literally just too small.

Why did nobody call for this bull**** when Haye was destroying the 'super' heavyweight Audley Harrison?
I mean honestly, why do people want a division where Tye Fields and Jullius Long would be getting a title shot every few months?

Yes it is clearly needed. Obviously the likes of Tyson, Frazier, Marciano, Louis, Ali, Liston and the like just wouldn't stand any chance what so ever with a Klitschko, oh..............

Ive never heard so much whining in my life! Is it The Klitschko Brothers fault they have been gifted with size AND dedication to their love? Nobody forced Adamek to move up and fight Vitaly. It was his choice to fight for what many still believe to be the biggest prize in sport today...The HEAVYWEIGHT Championship Of The World. NOT the kinda Heavyweight, or somewhat Tall but not too tall Championship. The Brothers are still human beings, they are not manufactured in a lab like many joke. By all this crying about a SuperHeavyweight Division, and saying it's not fair that some Heavyweights are bigger than others, leads people to think fight fans are pussies. He's too big, he shouldn't be allowed to fight for the title. Thank God theres guys like Adamek and (I can't believe I'm gonna say this) Haye who believe they can win the big one, and not all fighters are like the whiners begging for another division.

The Heavyweight Championship USED to mean the baddest man on the planet, the King of The World of Sport. The Klits are not cheating. They are simply winning. The cry babies need to man up and instead of pussying out and crying about it not being fair, do something about it. Does anyone really consider Povetkin The World Heavyweight Champion? Well, that's what you're asking for.

Personally, I think it's awesome that the Klitschkos are so big. They look like Heavyweight Champions of the ****in World. They win like the Heavyweight Champions. They beat people up like the Heavyweight Champions. It appears that they are the future of boxing, but people get sooooo stuck in the past and are afraid of change that they cry for the good ole days. Stop bitching and give the Championship the respect it deserves. In the past, middleweights have fought the Heavyweight Champs, outweighed by crazy amounts of pounds.

You guys are basically asking for there to be something like a Premier League and then a B League. Only good fighters fight in the Premier, the rest are in the B League. Give it up and face it, this is the future. There WILL be bigger guys then them, and better. Evolution says so. But stop acting like they are cheating.

Vitali and Vlad are not champions just because they are big, it's because they train year round and have skills..................

And to the posters saying The Klitschkos would cut weight to fit into the 220 limit...WHY??? Seriously, why would they? Are we gonna start putting a limit on hockey players too that skate too fast or shoot too hard? Golfers who drive the ball too far shouldn't be allowed to play because they are too strong. Linemen over a certain height and weight will have to play in the SuperNFL.

And related to this, where is this excess weight on the brothers? I don't notice them carrying extra water or fat around. It's not like they even REMOTELY resemble half the heavyweights. Should Adamek and Haye drop down to 150 and fight Floyd at that catchweight for a payday? You're asking for pretty damn close to that!
