Would be game vs Tucker, Witherspoon, and Mercer and loses by decision. He gets destroyed by everyone else.

Anyone voting he would beat anyone outside of Witherspoon and Tucker should be banned.

Though he didn't make Ring's top ten rated HWs that year, partly probably due to the Tyson loss, I'd take a 91 version of Frank Bruno to beat Tomasz.

He would decision old Foreman and Mercer.

Maybe even washed up Tucker and Spoon as well. Spoon would get knocked out of the ****ing rankings in 92 by a **** former LHW in Martin! Your telling me a great former cruiser like Adamek has no chance? Tucker was struggling with drugs and Norris at this time so could be interesting match.

Ruddock/Adamek would be interesting too. Razor had gave up his jab at this time to head hunt with one power shot at a time, and would make things easier for the Pole than Vitali did. Ruddock would probably catch him eventually though.

Beyond Tyson/Ruddock, 91 was a **** year with nothing happening. That's why Evander had to defend against Cooper, Holmes, and Foreman. Lewis and Bowe were still being groomed. As the reigning CW Champion with Evander running out of options, Adamek could very well have got a title shot in 91 or late 92. Sorry, haters.

    Bump!

I'm really curious in the people picking 91-92 Spoon...lol Are you thinking of the young buck who challenged Holmes?

Would you care to explain why Adamek couldn't do what Everett Martin could?

Evert Martin 5'11 former LHW, loser of last 9? Is Vitali that good that he fooled you into thinking Adamek is a clubfighter?

    Did Bigfoot kill the thread?

He beat one of these top 10 Ring Magazine Heavies!

ooohoohoooho :happy "BIG FOOT!" "BIG FOOT!"

I guess this is just one of those cases, of today's era being so weak. Big Foot Martin would be #3 in today's divison.

Well, Spoon went on to beat a decidedly better fighter than Everett Martin in Jorge Gonzalez, so I don't think the 'Adamek beats him because Martin did' argument really works.

Adamek is an average Heavyweight fighter at best. All of the guys except for Witherspoon and Mercer beat him by knockout, those 2 guys pummell him over the distance. I'm not sure what it was about Adameks scraping past Arreola (and getting wobbled by a slapper) or nearly getting taken out by Michael Grant, amongs wins over........sorry :)rofl).....Jason Estrada, Vinny Maddalon, Andrew Golota and Kevin McBride, but form what I saw he would be convincingly beaten by all the Heavyweights listed. Nothing he has done at Heavyweight, other than struggle with mediocre contenders and journeyman (In Grants case) suggests to me that Adamek would beat any of these top heavyweights.

I am frankly disgusted with the poll results and they prove beyond any doubt that the general forum is the worst on ESB, and should be referred to colloquially by it's rightful name - 'The childrens play area'.

Edit: Was under the impression this was P4P - I guess I need to read the thread :yep

Styles makes fights for a start. It's like saying please can anyone tell me how Spoon or anyone could have put up a worse effort against Vitali.

Spoon was well on the decline, but was still knocking genuine sized heavies out well past 91.

I don't think Adamek's chin is half as great at HW as is made out. He may well stay on his feet, but he's been wobbled many times, including from the likes of a washed up 39 year old Grant and hardly looked great in his two fights prior to Vitali.

Still, yes a case could be made for him beating an on the slide Spoon. I'll swap you Spoon for a 91 version of Bruno who doesn't even get a look in in the ten.
