Hopkins. Dawson is unfocused, doesn't care enough, and hasn't improved the application of his technique or stylistic advantages enough to out-fight someone like Bernard over 12.

Dawson is very motivated for this fight. I think Dawson's speed, physical skills, and natural boxing ability will be too much for Hopkins to handle.

    Rooting for Dawson.

Everything points at a Hopkins win, though. I didn't like Dawson's performance vs Diaconu, he sure won and quite clearly, but after the first loss of his career I would expect him to come out and try to make a statement, and to show improvement. I saw nothing new from Dawson in the Diaconu fight, he knew he was better than his opponent and he approached the fight with a 'lets get this over with' mentality.

Versatility and adaptability are two key elements for me, for someone to have a real chance of beating Hopkins. Can Dawson execute an effective gameplan successfully? Can he adapt and move on to plan B if things don't go his way in the first 3-4 rounds? His last two fights didn't give me any reason to think he can.

Hopkins has proved time and time again that he can use every trick in the book to make his opponents look bad and either dominate or 'steal' fights. Dawson should come in prepared and determined to win, if he's to have a chance. Also, I agree with the ones who think dropping Steward was a bad move by Dawson.

Dawson wins decision. Hopkins whines and complains that he was robbed.

Dawson by late stoppage. Steward's more of a distraction than an asset, Chad has all the physical advantages and he'll be focused for Bernard. Hopkins doesn't like to be carried fast and Chad will run him hard for the first six rounds and pick him apart from the outside. Dawon's not some plodding wide swinging Pascal type of fighter. Dawson by late stoppage.

Man, this would be a dream outcome for me, as I am a Dawson fan. But what in the world makes you think Dawson, who is not known for his punching power, will be the first man to KO Hopkins, a figher that is a master at the art of not getting hit? Noone has ever even come close to stopping Hopkins.

    It's wishful thinking.

Dawson's not going to be able to throw tons of punches. Hopkins' style wont allow it. And since when has Chad come out guns blazing?

Hops in a very close fight. Possible controversy over the decision I bet.

How? Hopkins is not a puncher, nor a volume puncher. Dawson is very fast, quick hands, good defense, very skilled, and has a higher work-rate. Dawson has the better chance of stopping Hopkins.
