I read on the boxing talk that Cintron is interested to step in on the 26. April date to replace Gomez to face Cotto in an unification bout!!
I mean why should Cotto say no? He would be the clear favourite, and i guess it would be an great actionpacked fight while it lasts! Easy unification for Cotto! Why should he say no? He wouldnt have to waste his time with Gomez!

That fight would be a lot better than the Gomez fight - plus it would help with the leverage of getting a fight with Mayweather. Cintron is one of the top 5 WW and he has a belt - so why not?

But this all depends on what Oscar does.

Clottey has a mando lined up with Cintron. Clottey and Cotto are both promoted by Arum. Arum is not going to **** Clottey over just to get Cotto another belt.

Oh, i didnt knew they have the same promoter, well that of course makes it a bit more difficult than i thought....Arum might have something against it.

Well, if DLH doesn't fight Cotto some major fights has to happen in the spring between Cotto, Cintron, Margarito, and Clottey. Somehow I don't see the Margarito-Clottey rematch happening, and Cintron is avoiding Clottey too, as he is avoiding Williams who is busy for the first third of the year. So if we'd like to see all the major players step into the ring I'd suggest a Cotto-Clottey, Margarito-Cintron double header.

Cintron doesn't stand a chance and Gomez better hope he doesn't end up like Codrington and Banks sleeping between the ropes (and those Contender guys love doing that).

    :rofl :rofl :rofl Funny! :good

And Relentless - I think Cotto/DLH would be a very good fight - that DLH wins. Maybe I'm crazy - but that's how I feel about that fight.

These are great fights for Cotto at this time. I'll tell you what. Since you know so much more about match making than the Bobfather, why don't you write Cotto about being his new promoter?

This would be a much better fight than against Alfonzo Gomez.
