Indeed they did forget, not coincidentally either. Hehehe. They also forgot that Roy WON the fight they are talking about and that it was what, 9 months since he fought Ruiz when he got KO'ed in the rematch? People will believe anything when they simply *want* it to be true.

I really think that this will not be a factor because he has been fighting at 175lbs for a couple of years now and it's not like he is going to be sacrifing his body like he did when he came down from heavyweight losing 25 pounds of pure muscle. I hope that he is weight drained because I am a Trinidad fan but I dobt that he will be, I expect RJJ to dominate my favorite fighter of all time sad but true.

The Tarver weight excuse was simply BS, as were the subsequent excuses during rematches (it was lucky punch, he lost deliberately so his dad will not ge the credit, etc)

I think Jones can make 170 with ease, he is not a huge guy. Matter of fact, I think he could have stayed at 168 up to now and reign in there.

Trinidad looked pretty soft at middleweight...so def cant see him looking good at 170.

Any source on this one? Everyone have been talking about 170 pounds... And I do feel that Jones will have big trouble making the weight and I belive that it will show in the fight. But maybe weight drained Jones can still beat a fat "Tito"? I don´t know... I still haven´t chosen who I will pick in this fight...

Wow! If Roy was under 180 pounds January 5th, then the making 170 should not be TOO much... But I still think that it will effect him negativly... How much? That is the issue here in my mind...

Lack of heart. He simply did not throw and just stood there and took punishment. He had no business being in the ring that night.

I dont know. For some reason I think I saw somewhere they have to weigh 170 on fight night. If thats the case then thats going to seriously damage Jones even more, if thats not true, Jones should be fine. I think he's trying to play games with Felix a little bit. I still Felix is too small for 170 and won't carry the weight well and will be chubby. Roy Jones needs to retire though. He's done.

He didn't cut 25 pounds of pure muscle, that's a fallacy.

He weighed under 200 for a fight he had no reason to cut weight for. No drying out, no nothing.

    He weighed what, 195?

What's he weigh on fight night of a light heavy fight, 180, 185?

Ten to 15 pounds is not a lot over a few months. Just give up the weights. He either had to do weights or roids to put on the weight, so give them up to lose it. Really, too much is made of it IMO.

It won't be easy but I thought he had to make 168.
