"Klitschko looked slower than ever, more cautious than ever, and there was a disturbing moment when, under no pressure, he fell over like he'd been hit by a bullet from a sniper's gun. That's called your body giving up in any language.

His neck, shoulders and back seemed to be hurting him, and that's understandable - he is 40 now - but it made him appear seriously slow.

I saw things in Vitali that made me think David could beat him, and I'm now very confident the fight will happen. The fantastic veteran looked lumbering - he was dragging his right leg along at a funny angle, and couldn't turn it to produce any power. All the power he had was coming from his arms - and yeah, that's plenty, but he never once pivoted and turned on his right foot, which suggests a knee or ankle problem.

There are several ways Haye can beat Vitali (and trust me, it's not easy to beat Vitali): cut him, run and outpoint him - or hope that his body gives in, he falls over and twists his ankle.

And don't worry about whether Haye can handle Vitali's power - there's a whole list of people who Wladimir has knocked cold, and Haye took his best punches.

He may be shocked how tall he is, how powerful, but he'll never be shocked by how slow he is. It really is the speed heavyweight fight.

A promoter like Don King will have seen the signs and, if they had Haye, they would be putting the fight to bed, trust me.

If I was Haye, I'd jump all over it. Now."

For whatever reasons I'd like to see them get this fight on.

i wouldve agreed 100% before the adamek and wlad-haye fights but vit klit looked faster than other recent showings(he has been soooooo slow of late) and seeing hayes difficulty getting close and poor work rate i dont agree now

Haye can beat Vitali. But would he?

Those points are all reasonable ones BTW.

Not sure I agree but it's the most meaningful fight out there for both of them, I'd like to see it.

Disagree with Bunce, Vitali will put Haye in a world of pain, in a way Wlad could never do.
Haye has elusiveness and good power, the power part is meaningless, sure he'll catch Vitali once or twice but you need more to crack that chin, Lewis couldn't, sure as hell Haye isn't.
As elusive as Haye is he'll get caught and when he does he'll tighten up, almost go into a shell if you like.

I would give Pinky a 15% chance of victory after witnessing that master class from Vitali crushing the 3rd best heavy on the Planet.

    Talk about clutching at straws.

Adamek would have a good shot at beating Haye.

Just to put things in perspective.

Vitali has been looking very wooden ever since he came back from his long lay off 3 years ago, but he still keeps winning.

As for Haye taking Vitali's punches, I wouldn't recommend it. Haye's chin might not be so bad after all, but he most certainly did not take Wlad's best punches.

Adamek was there to be hit all night and even when he did get on his bike, his footwork was pretty poor. I understand what Bunce is saying regarding Vit's knee. Watch the fall at the end of the 8th (?) round where Vit goes down. He was putting weight on his left knee and it clearly didn't like it and just gave way...not tripping over Adamek's foot like Jim Watt said!

Haye was very difficult for Wlad to hit and the younger brother is much quicker than Vit. Regardless of past fights, this one's still interesting.

This needs an explanation. What on earth did Buncey see in the Wlad fight that convinced him Haye could beat the brother with a half decent beard? Coz I'm at a loss

the question is not can haye beat vitali. he can't, that is pretty clear.

the more interesting question is can the haye nut huggers bounce back from the reaming they suffered back in june and start talking their **** again.

If they do get this fight on, I hope they do it fairly quickly and don't draw it out.

I doubt it, Haye is the Peter North of this sort of thing.

If I ever see Bunce I'm gonna batter the fat *******. He's been embarrassing the brits with his bull**** for far too long. In any other line of work he'd be sacked for incompetence and charged with fraud. Someone needs to shut his fat stinking pie hole.
