De La Hoya left because he realized he was a huge name, had alot of charisma, and good business acumen. Simply put, he could make more money without Arum. Lil Floyd and the Bobfather had beef for a while. When Bobby couldn't come through on the Hoya fight, Lil Floyd cut ties with him. Cotto has zero charisma, and seemingly not much business acumen. He seems like a guy that is better at taking orders. Which is why he always says he'll fight whoever they put in front of him. He's not comfortable making his own decisions

 

Cotto has more character than PBF/DLH combined yet he remains more humble. He has been calling out Floyd for some time and said he would be happy to fight Hoya. However, I think he usually lets other fighters call him out or lets Arum pick his opponants because like many fighters, he gets more pumped up if they challenge him.

 

Good for Cotto. Too bad he has no charisma.

I say Cotto also has more charisma in the ring than both Floyd/Hoya put together.

 

Nice article, too bad it doesn't change the fact that Cotto has no charisma. Also, both Money May and Hoya own their own promotional companies and have complete control of their careers. Cotto's career, to a good extent, is left in the hands of another man. Cotto is not a leader in the sport of boxing, Money May and Hoya are. Finally, I say Floyd definately has more charisma than Cotto in the ring.

 

Cintron has the potential to KO anybody @47. If Cotto could hang I think he'll make Cintron quit with all those landed body shots

 

cintron cant fight cotto because he has to make a mandatory defense against clottey...Arum wont let this happen either because clottey is his fighter...marg-cotto probably wont happen either...i think arum wants 3 ww champs...so he'll make marg-williams 2...and hope clottey can beat cintron

If Cintron can keep his range and tag Cotto early he can win. As long as Cotto doesn't cheat.

 

I seriously doubt this. He didn't want Margo to fight Williams the first time. If Cotto and Margo win in April, they'll fight each other. Either that or Cotto will fight the winner of Mayweather/De La Hoya

 

I doubt Arum will make Margo Williams 2. He never wanted him to fight him in the first place.

If Cintron gets in with Cotto and losses I think it puts him out of the picture in the Welterweight division.

 

Seeing as how Cotto is 10x the boxer Cintron is, I'd put my money on Cotto.

But what does it matter really? Cintron's gotta face Clottey...and then he REALLY needs to man up and face Williams.
