They were smart to put the commercial during Monday Night Football and before the Packer/Saint's game

Any Floyd PPV is going to do close to a million buys anyway.

Just because they ran ads doesnt mean people are going to be willing to dish out $70 for it. I can care less whether is does great or fails, but from what i'm seeing, GBP dropped the ball as far as promotion went. Aside from the forums and talk amongst diehards, there is very little buzz.

There a number of factors will go into how many sales this PPV will have.

    1) PBF plays the heal better than anyone else outside of the WWE.
    2) The majority of people want to see PBF get HTFO
    3) PBF is coming off a long lay off . . . again . . . how long can he stay on top?
    4) Ortiz is young and hungry with a lot to prove
    5) With PBF being ripe for the pickin's can Ortiz, who has knocked-down every fighter he ever fought, take advantage of this chance
    6) How will PBF react if he is knocked down?
    7) this is one of the most stacked cards in a while
    8) Three Mexican stars on the biggest boxing weekend on the calendar
    9) excellent marketing campaign

all these factors should result in a PPV with 1-1.25 mill buys . . . one big factor that exist that could put a damper on the amount of buys in the end is probably the 600lb gorilla in the room: the economy

    10) the out there hurting will they be willing to fork out $70 to watch a fight?

taking everything into account I think the PPV will do just over 1m buys

Marketing genius is trying to hype up this fight

Jr about Pac -fight - “Do your research. I talk to Mosley. Mosley is a guy, in his past, he used enhancement drugs, or whatever y'all want to call it," Mayweather said. "I talked to him after his fight with the guy and he said, 'Floyd, if I was you, I'd make him take the test.'”

    Pathetic

It's gonna sell 1.2-1.5mill PPV. Casual fans are suckers for Mayweather 'comeback' fights and this card has Morales, Canelo on the undercard.

    Stacked undercard?

Erik Morales vs Pablo Cano (Cano who?) - Yes it's the legend Morales but against a 21 year old green Mexican boxer?

Saul Alvarez vs Alfonso Gomez - Alvarez is 22-1 favorite over Gomez, mismatch?

How stacked is this card for the expensive $70 PPV price tag?
