gamboa has stated he wants to move up as far as 140 , rios is the champ at 135 , i think skillwise gamboa is favored , also speed and accuracy , bam bam has size a much more solid chin and a skilled relentless style

would bam bams size , chin and style be too much for gamboa (who has been down quite a few time) although his defence as of late has improved?

    think:huh

Toss up. Rios is very powerful. But he has a low defense. Gamboa is fast so I don't know.

Rios. Too big, too strong, too much pressure.

BTW Marquez is the champ at 135lbs.

Never seen Rios but Gamboa by TKO or UD, too much speed and raw athleticism. :good

Bam Bam taxes that ass and kwikly makes Gamboa realise he is not a lightweight...

I thnk the relentless pressure would see Gamboa struggle cos I dnt think he will hav enough to keep Rios off him....And Bam Bam can punch!

Gamboa has way better amateur experience, is much faster, is much more athletic and can also BANG. :bart

Big jump in not only size but opponent level for Gamboa.

I'd have to see how he performs at 135 against a quality opponent before assessing him against who imo is the best lightweight at the moment.

I dont know, but i dont think it would be a walk in the park for Rios. Rios had trouble with Acosta early on, and Acosta was putting it on him, and at one point i thought Rios gave up....it was like the 4th round are something when it seemed that Acosta hurt him and he just took his foot off the gas peddle, i was like **** nooooo. Acosta is fast and hits hard, which is what Gamboa has. Rios is not an easy fight for ANYONE in the division. Great fight i can tell you now.

Rios beats the **** out of Gamboa.
I'd love to watch this just for the spectacle. (Like a car accident)

You forget the trouble Acosta gave him early on?? I think Gamboa struggles with Rios and Rios struggles with Gamboa. Gamboa has speed and power and that's exactly what gave Rios problems against Acosta.
