You *******s can never get ur story straight. Don't you idiots say PAC was drained when he was at 130? Now him moving up had a negative impact?

chill. pac had trouble making 130 during his last fights there. specifically against mab and jmm. but going up from 126 to 130 was something new to him at the time as pac was considered small then.

Really dont think jmm can be ranked higher than MAB and Morales. IMO his resume doesnt come close to theirs. even MAB at the end of his career gave JMM one of his toughest fight and knocked him down.

Small? Didn't he weigh 141 on fight night? Not too much less than what he weighs in now. The guy I quoted is a *******. Not surprised by what he said.

no he weighed 139, it was the heaviest he had ever weight for a fight. but consider that he was only 26yo at the time, human males dont stop growing till around 29yo so him having trouble with his weight by the time he faced MAD and JMM at 130 is possible.

This post is all that needs to be said, I really don't see how resume wise a draw with Pacquiao can compare to wins over Hamed and Morales (x2)

Not only did he draw with Manny Pacquiao, but he drew with the Manny Pacquiao that was defeated by Morales. Not the killing machine of the last 3 years.

The majority of people who have voted on this thread probably don't know enough about all three Mexicans careers before 2003, and therefore the only way they can compare the three fighters is by analysing how each of them fared against the Filipino. That would be my guess. As I say, this is a popularity contest. Erik Morales is the most popular fighter of the three, and Marquez is the one who is currently the most relevant. Barrera gets forgotten as a result.

how jmm gets so many votes is crazy

compared to what morales and barrera has done, who they beat, jmm shouldnt be close.
jmm's 2 close fights with pac that he didnt even win makes him so overrated.

morales would beat jmm 3 out of 3 in their primes

    1-Morales
    2-Barrera
    3-Marquez

Got disappointed on Morales during his trilogy with Pac, but still he secures the top of my list. Not so sure for Barrera but still I see him better than Marquez till Marquez beats Pac on their third bout. We'll see if Marquez can steal the second spot if he wins the trilogy..

I am gonna go against the norm and say JMM. first, JMM did not want anything to do with him early on in his career. second, his only clear loss was against PBF, every other loss many argue could have gone his way. Third, he is oldest and his "second stage of his career is the most impressive . . . despite Eric's last few outings he did lose to david diaz (the lesser of the diazes) and Raheem (who did nothing after that win). That all being said I am a fan of all three and rank them very highly in the great Mexican fighters of all time.

He fought Barrerra only two years later. How could he have outgrown the division so fast?
