I disagree with the list. I'd replace Dempsey with guys like Tua, Morrison, Bruno, Sanders, or Klitschko. Shavers should be number one, Foreman should be higher, and Tyson should be lower. Max Baer should be higher than Frazier and Dempsey as well. Lennox Lewis deserves to be ranked higher.

foreman behind tyson? oh yeah, that's real easy to justify. it's seems like espn just keeps getting these things wrong, but then again, when have they ever given boxing its due?

this is a classical list, isn't it? we all know only a guy below 100 kilos can punch!

Tua and Klitschko hit harder than Frazier. Even someone like Ali could not take as many punches from Tua or Wlad as he took from Frazier. I am not sold on Liston's power to rank Nr.2. He dominated an era of small HW's. I don't think he would have stood out as a puncher in the 1990's. Not sure that Liston hit harder than Corrie Sanders.

Pure power and effective punching should be differeniated. As far as raw power goes, Foreman was unbelievable, but Tyson, Lewis or Wlad are more effective punchers.

    Goddamn I love that avatar.

Espn lists usually suck. They don't know much about boxing.

Is this a pfp heavyweight list?

If not there is no way in hell. Absolultly no way Marciano, a crusierweight today, hits harder than Lewis or Klitschko, or even a Bruno or Ruddock. Hell Tua as well.

But oh well, what do you expect from an Espn boxing list?
