ortiz punches in bunches so of course he will land here and there. this is boxing..........the game is to AVOID MOST of victors punches. not all of them, because naturally some will get through. it's about keeping your opponent from lading CONSISTENTLY......not at all. & mayweather showed the skill set tonight to do that & MORE to pac...............
It's clear now you are delusional fool searching for excuses to justify why Mayweather was beating Ortiz's ass and why Mayweather will do the same against Peduiao
Floyd has never looked as beatable as he did tonight, and against someone with a similar style yet inferior power and intensity as Pac. I'm less inclined to believe that the fight will ever happen.
pac is shorter, MUCH smaller reach then ortiz........mayweather looked like he'll outbox the living sh*t out of pac tonight........ :happy
Reach is about the only advantage that Ortiz has on Pac. In terms of power, speed, intensity, stamina, focus and experience - Pac is 3X or more the fighter that Ortiz is. In Pac, Floyd will be fighting someone who is 3X better or more than Ortiz.
Spoken like someone who has clearly never boxed. There's a big difference between bracing yourself for an expected combo and walking in to well timed punches.
Right, because Pacquiao was braced and expecting every punch cotto hit him with :good I love when people say "it clear you never boxed" followed by some stupid ass ****
Thread starter claimed ortiz hit mayweather more than any other fighter, yet I proved it to be bull****.
in a week or two, when the *****s can look at this fight with more objectivity, they will realize that Floyd is/was right in staying away from Manny.
Once again: ''If he walked through the right hands and stiff jabs that Cotto put on him, Floyd aint gonna hurt him.'' Cotto does not counter punch well, and didn't counter Manny effectively in their fight. You've also highlighted Cotto's right hand? Is this something special coming from a converted southpaw who relies heavily on his left hand? You're talking utter pony.
Floyd will pick apart Manny. Dudes always go for it in the beginning rounds then start getting countered with p4p accuracy and get gun shy.
Ortiz definitely landed on Mayweather, but the size and style differences between him and Manny simply don't correlate to how or why they will land. Speed and a southpaw stance can score you points, but the rest will be up to Manny because that only gets you so far.
