It was only "weird" if YDKSAB.

Ortiz had tried head butting MULTIPLE times. This time he finally connected. So question is why was he head butting? Because he was getting his clock cleaned. He knew it was just a matter of time.

Same reason he won't ask for a rematch until AFTER FMJ announces an opponent. If you can't win the first three rounds against Mayweather what the hell do you think you will do after he has actually fought and dominated you? Team Ortiz knows how this story ends. :deal

It's still not exactly flattering to his chin at welterweight that a pair of quick "cheap shots" rendered him paralyzed long enough to get counted out. It's bad enough that he got decked against Berto (although that in a way benefited him with the whole "scraping himself up to win" angle).

I really don't think scripting out a scenario where Ortiz gets put to sleep by a couple of shots from someone that casual fans consider a non-puncher is the way for the behind-the-scenes puppet-masters to go about selling him as a big PPV attraction.

Shots that you don't see coming hurt the most.

The fight was real. Ortiz was CLEARLY KTFO. The punch was HARD and ortiz had no idea it was coming. The sweat that flew off ortiz's head shows how solid the punch was. The only reason mayweather wants to give ortiz a rematch is because he feels a little guilty for knocking him out that way. Mayweather would rather have his victory untainted, like when he rematched jose luis castillo.

Hell no. He is willing to give a rematch because he knows he is the better man. Just like he gave Castillo a rematch when everyone said that Castillo won. Just like ODLH had a clause, was getting it, but he didn't do it because it was obvious ODLH had no chance.

    Any doubts? Rematch! :deal

You'd have thought Ortiz and his camp would have been crying out for a rematch if for no other reason than to make a load more money.
