Cortez was not in control of the situation. Check out the Barrera vs Hamed fight. In the 2nd round Cortez takes control of that situation, when Naz wrestles Barrera to the ground. Cortez calls "Time In" then signals them to fight staying in between the fighters.
Where the hell did Ortez eyes go? He's is looking right at Floyd when Floyd punches him for the first time and then he's looking at the Ref. Mutha****a you in a fight what the hell are you doing? It ain't Floyd's fault Vic is so damn dumb.
How are you a Dr. and you don't have a DVR? "Let's Go!" can clearly be heard AND the hand motion to fight was given. This is on Cortez. Only Bayless is sharp enough to call these fights. Period.
I would add Tony Weeks, he's another good ref. Cortez need to retire, he's already in the hall of fame :-(.

Ortiz is in it too why would he open his jaw after getting hit wouldn't even try to cover himself then why would a referee look away in the middle of a fight... If you can't see it's fixed then it's your opinion not mine... I guess that hug is a sign for closing the show & that look away move by the referee determines it...
Incompetent yes. Corrupt I dont think so. Once you command to box again your eyes should be on the boxers. Lucky he just got into the HOF rather than next week.
I'm sorry but I thought that the referee was required to indicate "time in" to the judges, just as he indicates "time out." It looked to me like Cortez never made that call and perhaps was in the middle of doing so, to one of the judges (or whoever controls the clock), when Mayweather unloaded. To me this is critical because it would mean the difference between a DQ and a KO.
