TOS by UD. Toney is done, TOS has alot of amateur experience and is tall and lean, he should be able to out jab Tony and stay on the outside cruising to a points victory. The Key to beating Toney is making him come after you, not standing infront of him and winging punches, cuz thats Toneys bread & butter.
:-( Even a FAT and out of shape toney beats the best TOS there ever has been. Being lean and tall doesn't mean the man can fight. He is a decent HW in a ERA of crappy HW's so that doesn't say much....it really doesn't say much about the HW division when a former MW can beat some of the very best the division has to offer. But this should be a fairly easy fight for JT....if he hasn't hit the wall given his inactivity and age.
No I disagree, TOS can fight, he has the skills. He has a prized Amateur background and knows how to fight behind the jab. Styles make fights and IMO TOS has the style to beat Tony, he also is sharp enough not to fall in Tonys traps.
AM experience in the HW or Super HW division have been lackluster for the US. We don't focus much on our AM fighters as much as other countries do. While TOS is a decent fighter he is FAAAAAR beneath James in terms of skills. TOS jab is decent...probably his most effective punch aside from his power striaght right, but he has to LAND his jab and right hand in order to score and win. That won't be an easy task. And Stylistically TOS isn't the best for James, but TOS isn't in the top 10, he's been very inconsistant with his preformances and looks to be slipping. James is too but comparing their skills, styles and talent James wins this one on points or late KO.
I've always thought it was really funny that people make casual offhand remarks about "TOS" in boxing discussions all the time, as though Williamson were somehow noteworthy enough for everybody to know him automatically by the initials of his nickname.
yea really who the **** is this TOS? oh yea hes SOOO ****in cool touch of sleep my dick and balls btw im a toney fan but this wont be worth watching i dont really care who wins
