I don't think he lost any fans. He sure did gain a lot more haters though. He's the Obama of boxing.

I'll admit this...He only made fans want to see him get his ass kicked by Manny Pacquiao....but I feel his stock went down drastically with anyone that isn't Pacquiao...So he has backed himself into a corner where he will now NEED PACQUIAO if he wants to make big money again....He will not be able to have a mega fight anymore unless he gets in the ring with Emmanuel. he done finally ****ed up..That is my guess.

Floyd wants haters, because haters will pay $70 for his next fight hoping he get's KO'd.

People think Floyd is an idiot, he's far from it. The guy knows exactly what he's doing.

Same results with my facebook. I think when the people who didnt pay for it see and hear Merchant Floyd will gain more fans. Some of you may not have been around when Ali was despised and hated, and persecuted by the U.S. Government. The people know who its champions are and no tom foolery will ever change it. Not even mass market merchandising of people undeserving ie, Merchant and HBO brass.

Most of the people who booed Floyd's victory were partisan Mexican fans who were so desperate for a Mexican hero they looked to Ortiz who turned out to be a little light in the loafers and short of heart! True boxing fans recognized what was about to happen and disapprove of the way Merchant conducted himself interviewing Floyd. I hope he gets fired. Its time for him to go out to pasture with the rest of the cows.

That would mean Joe Cortez is "fair and firm", even to Floyd.
