what exactly did cortez do wrong?

    Because motion with your hands to fight and saying "let's go" is obviously the universal sign to try to hug your opponent. what was Cortez thinking?

    If the punches were illegal you wouldnt sound ******ed but they were legal

    All joe did was miss a booming left hook. Not the 1st ref to miss out on a beautiful hook. He did see the right. We all did except for ortuz

    The ref has to get in between the fighters use the command
    "Box" "Time in" "Fight" then push each fighter away and get back in position.
    None of those happened. Control the action.

    Oh I blame Ortiz for this don't worry. I don't even have a huge problem with how the fight ended, besides being just disappointed because we were robbed of a good fight.

    All I'm saying is, if Cortez did what I said, it probably wouldn't have went down that way, that's all

    Both fighters were in nuetral corners. Hence they had to walk to eachother.Why does he need to call them from neutral corners and push them back toward nutral corner again? Lol.

    Hes a **** ref because he waived and said lets go lol. He also told the time keeper time in which is something else he did wrong because he wasnt watching the fighters while he was doing this.
    The action was controlled ortiz just chose to not come out fighting

    He wasn't on top of the action. The correct thing to do would be to bring the fighters together, then break them apart a bit and say "box". All he did was bring the fighters together and didn't observe the action.

    Basically this thread just tells me how salty cats is that mayweather won.

    Few years ago it was cortez fault he beat hatton.
    Last fight the dude was old.
    Fight before that the guy was small.
    Fight before that the guy was old again.

    Always an excuse. Funny because without the hate im not so sure mayweather would be so good to **** you off.

    When he fights pac will it be......he was too old? Too small? The refs fault? Ray j slept with jinkee? What?

    Anything to avoid saying the kid is the best fighter since roy jones

    So you mad the round would have been 2 seconds longer? Cool.

    But again. What would it have change if the ref was looking?
    Thd ref was looking when shane ate the same combo did that change history?
    Does cortez have some secret magical powers that the other ref didnt that would make floyd dry hump ortiz?

    Who said neutral corners? just come in middle
    of them give the proper command not "lets go" push them away so ge can get in position to watch and control the action.

    You asked what he did wrong calling time in then looking away is not a smart thing to do, What if Mayweather low blowed Ortiz or head butted him in retaliation Cortez wouldn't have even seen it.
